Meet The Director

Denise Walsh, Executive Director

Denise Walsh currently serves as our Executive Director. Denise is a nurse with a career spanning several decades and continues to advocate for patients in her role at the Cleveland Clinic. Her research and Poster Project on Teen Dating Violence earned her the B.B. Rossman, Ph.D. Child Maltreatment Award at the International Conference on Violence, Abuse and Trauma in 2010. She also owns and runs a local small business, a kids resale clothing event which helps families save money for their growing families. She resides in Medina where she is mom to three daughters and Nana to seven beautiful grandchildren.

Over the years Denise has volunteered for several organizations including the Battered Women’s Shelter, The American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Several years ago, she felt called by the Lord to reach out to the underserved in Medina County and decided to reach out to citizens walking the same path that she had experienced as a little girl, struggling without enough to wear and all the stigma and side-effects that go alongside.  Denise felt led to show God’s love by providing clothing to women and children at risk and those living in crisis. Hence, Woven with Promise was born.
