Woven with Promise offers a range of short and long-term individual, groups and corporate volunteer opportunities. You will be supporting local women and their families and our foster children as they gain the strength, stability, and confidence they need to rebuild their lives.

All volunteers will be required to complete a Volunteer Information Form.

Our recommended minimum age to volunteer without parental supervision is sixteen with a waiver signed by a parent/guardian prior to volunteering. That said, we also welcome younger children ages 13-15 to volunteer alongside their parents or group leaders. We recommend one adult chaperone for every five volunteers.

 
DEVELOPMENT, EVENTS & MARKETING Volunteer Positions Available

We need volunteers to do the following duties:

+Volunteer Coordinator We are looking for a detail-oriented and focused volunteer coordinator to be responsible for our database of volunteers and volunteer opportunities. The volunteer coordinator's responsibilities include recruiting and training new volunteers, keeping a database of volunteer information and skills, matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skills, keeping volunteers informed, and conveying the organization's purpose to the public. A successful volunteer coordinator should be meticulous about keeping records and passionate about volunteer work. They should uphold the values of our organization while ensuring the comfort of our volunteers in their positions.

+Donation Coordinator In this role, the donation coordinator oversees the donation of material gifts and the operation of the Woven with Promise donations storage areas. The Woven with Promise donations coordinator receives, inventories, stores, rotates and discards donated clothing and other items and maintains a current inventory of appropriate items needed. They will be responsible to interface with other Woven with Promise, keeping them abreast of clothing and other items on hand, and communicating needs in the areas of, clothing, toiletries/essentials, diapers and other items distributed by Woven with Promise. They should uphold the values of our organization and believe in its mission.

+Data Entry Clerk This position will work closely with the Woven with Promise Executive Director and program staff to collect all required information and perform data entry into each specific funder database.

+Marketing Outreach & Communications Coordinator This position will work closely with the Woven with Promise Executive Director. This role includes writing for external audiences (email marketing, and social media), as well as liaising with traditional media, partner organizations, and funders. Depending on the capacities of the successful candidate, the position may also incorporate development of educational materials, video/photo, or fundraising.

+Grant Writer The Grant Writer will research, write, format, and submit compelling, high-quality grant proposals to funding agencies (federal, state, and private foundations) while applying knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach goals. This role is responsible for proactively researching and analyzing grant opportunities and making recommendations on their feasibility. Position will collaborate with the Executive Director to develop relationships with key stakeholders and develop supporting documents and maintain donor databases and records.
