FAQ

What is Woven With Promise and What Do We Do? Woven with Promise is a 501c3 charitable organization founded in 2019 with the mission of providing families in crisis with free, gently used and new clothing and footwear. We do this by partnering with churches, social workers, registered non-profits, school counselors/nurses, shelters, healthcare providers and others.

Who Do You Serve? In an environment of Christ-centered love & grace, we strive to get free clothing, shoes and toiletry essentials to families in crisis situations, freeing up financial resources they can use toward other needs.

How Does Woven With Promise Work? Woven with Promise does not assess need and all families for whom the requests are made remain anonymous to Woven with Promise volunteers. We rely on churches, social service agencies, physicians, registered non-profits and other entities who work directly with families in need to be our referring partner. Contact us to find out how to become a referring partner.

Do You Charge For Your Services/Clothing? No, all items distributed are free of charge.

How Can My Church, School or Organization Become a Referring Partner? Contact Woven with Promise at wovenwithpromise@gmail.com.

How Can I Help? There are several ways you can help Woven with Promise. For example: Donate new or gently used women and children’s clothing and footwear in GREAT shape! (Please – no outdated, stained, or ripped clothing). Organize a drive to collect “stylish” clothing for ages 2T-20. Host a fundraising event. Volunteer to sort clothing. Make a personal financial contribution. Make a corporate financial contribution. Spread the word!

What Items Does Woven with Promise Accept? We believe that all women and children should feel valued and therefore we will only distribute clothing that is in great shape, as oftentimes these are the only clothing items these children have. It costs us a great deal of time and money to dispose of items that do not meet our standards of ‘gently used.’ We define “gently used” as clean, stain and rip-free, working zippers and normal to light wear. Please remember, too, that while many adult sizes may fit a child, we provide age-appropriate and “in-style” clothing to these children. We cannot accept used underwear, used socks or used adult swimsuits. We are always in need of new underwear and socks for boys and girls in sizes ranging from 2T-20. New footwear is also accepted.

What Items Need to be Brand New? Underwear and socks must be brand new. It is preferred that pajamas for adults be new as well.

Where and When Can I Drop off Donations? You can bring your donations to 1330 North Carpenter, Brunswick, Ohio. Visit our donation page for the schedule for dropping off your donations.

What are Woven with Promise's Most-Needed Items? We are always in need of new underwear, socks, pajamas and footwear for children ages 2T-20.
